Adam M. Koss, Of Counsel

Contact Adam: 415-506-7372

Adam operates the Law Office of Adam Koss and serves as of counsel for D’Amato Law.

As a certified specialist in Legal Malpractice Law, Adam’s practice focuses on ethics, legal malpractice, and other professional liability claims, from pre-lawsuit negotiations and administrative hearings, through trial or arbitration, and onto appeals. His representation of each client is focused solely on achieving the best outcome for that particular client. After formulating an appropriate litigation plan in conjunction with his clients, Adam works forcefully towards those unique and tailored goals. Based upon his clients' litigation needs, Adam has negotiated numerous pre-litigation confidential resolutions which keep those matters out of the public record, has represented clients in early and cost effective arbitrations, and has had particular success using pre-trial filings such as anti-SLAPP motions and motions for summary judgment. Throughout litigation, Adam keeps an eye on his clients' best interests and is always willing to explore resolutions and settlements on favorable terms. He does, however, recognize that some cases must be decided by a jury, and has served as trial counsel or in arbitration on numerous occasions.

In many cases even a successful verdict is not the end of the matter. There are also times the trial court just got it wrong. When those needs arise, Adam is experienced in handling matters at the appellate level in both State and Federal Court. His time spent as a law clerk with Justice George W. Nicholson at the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District and in a leadership position with DRI's appellate advocacy committee provides insight and a unique perspective on handling appellate matters.
